Rio Tinto Stadium is located in Sandy, Utah, just 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 25 minutes from SLC International Airport. Rio Tinto Stadium (commonly referred to as simply Rio Tinto or "The RioT") is an American soccer-specific stadium in Sandy, Utah, that is the home to Major League Soccer club Real Salt Lake and its USL associate team, Real Monarchs SLC. The stadium opened on October 9, 2008, and seats 20,213 for soccer, but can be expanded to over 25,000 for concerts.

The stadium hosted the 2009 MLS All-Star Game, the second leg of the 2011 CONCACAF Champions League Finals, and the final of the 2013 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. It was also a host stadium during the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup, and a host for final stages of the 2015 CONCACAF Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship. COnstruction cost an estimated 110 million dollars.

From North

Take I-15 southbound, take the exit for 9000 South and make a left at the end of the exit ramp to head east on 9000 South. Turn right at State Street. (An alternate route would be to turn right on Monroe Street immediately after exiting from I-15, then left onto 9400 South, then left onto the Stadium’s Ring Road.) Permit parking (Lot 2) will be immediately on your right, and VIP/Media and other permit parking (Lot 1) will be farther ahead on your left. Please check the map for all other parking areas.

Take I-15 northbound, take the exit for 10600 South and make a right at the end of the exit ramp to head east on 10600 South. Turn left at State Street, then left onto 9400 South. Make a right onto the Stadium’s Ring Road. Permit parking (Lot 2) will be immediately on your right, and VIP/Media and other permit parking (Lot 1) will be farther ahead on your left. Please check the map for all other parking areas.

Rio Tinto Stadium is located in Sandy, Utah, just 15 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City and 25 minutes from SLC International Airport.
It is conveniently accessed from major transportation artery Interstate 15, and from State Street, between 9000 South and 9400 South.
Please observe posted NO PARKING areas especially in adjacent residential and business areas.

Numerous UTA TRAX routes service three stations that are all within a 15-minute walk of Rio Tinto Stadium. These include the Historic Sandy Station (at 9000 South and 200 East), the Sandy Expo Station (at 9400 South, behind Jordan Commons) and the Sandy Civic Center Station (at 10000 South, behind Jordan High School).
