From Labor Day through May: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Hours are extended for events and games. The box office is closed the Memorial Day weekend (Saturday-Monday).
Please note, the box office will be closed on Monday, January 18, 2016 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Summer Hours: From June through Labor Day, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Joe Louis Arena is a multi-purpose arena located in Detroit, Michigan. It is the home of the Detroit Red Wings of theNational Hockey League. Completed in 1979 at a cost of $57 million, the venue is named after boxer and former heavyweight champion Joe Louis, who grew up in Detroit. Only one other NHL arena, Madison Square Garden, is without a corporate sponsorship name. The third oldest NHL venue after Madison Square Garden and Rexall Place, Joe Louis Arena is owned by the city of Detroit, and operated by Olympia Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ilitch Holdings. Joe Louis Arena replaced Detroit Olympia. It sits adjacent to Cobo Hall on the bank of the Detroit Riverand is accessible through its own station on the Detroit People Mover.
History
The Joe Louis Arena garage on W. Jefferson is connected to the arena. Parking is also available in the Riverfront Lot located on Civic Center Drive. Other public parking is available in garages downtown, from which you can take the People Mover to the arena.The Joe Louis Arena Garage is available for parking during Detroit Red Wings games for $20 per vehicle. ​

How to get there?
Take I-75 Southbound to I-375/Civic Center until it ends (about a mile). Head West on Jefferson and stay in the left lane. Go underneath Cobo Center and exit on West Jefferson. You'll be directly in front of the Joe Louis Arena Parking Garage.
Take I-75 Northbound to the Lodge Freeway (M-10) South. Take the Lodge Southbound to the West Jefferson/Joe Louis Arena exit. This exit will place you directly in front of the parking garage.
Follow I-94 West to the Lodge Freeway (M-10) Southbound. Take the Lodge to the West Jefferson/Joe Louis Arena exit. This exit will place you directly in front of the parking garage.
(From Lansing area, take I-96 Eastbound to I-275 South) Take I-96 (Jeffries Freeway) Eastbound to the Lodge Freeway (M10)/Civic Center exit. Follow the Lodge Southbound to the West Jefferson/Joe Louis Arena exit. This exit will place you directly in front of the parking garage.
From Bloomfield, Farmington Hills, Central and Northwestern Detroit and Oakland County Suburbs:
Follow Southbound Lodge (M10) to West Jefferson/Joe Louis Arena exit. This exit will place you directly in front of the parking garage.
From Ann Arbor, Dearborn, Inkster and Wayne:
Follow Eastbound I-94 (Ford Freeway) to the Lodge (M10) Southbound. Exit at the West Jefferson/Joe Louis Arena exit. This will place you directly in front of the parking garage.
