All official United Center parking lots are conveniently located near the arena and can be accessed from Damen Ave., Madison St., Adams St., Warren Blvd., Wood St., Monroe St., and Washington St.

The United Center is pleased to offer free parking for select family shows in all official United Center parking lots. Whether you have your event tickets, will be buying them at the box office the day of the event, or have tickets being held at will call, you will be allowed to take advantage of this offer. All Parking Policies outlined below will remain in effect.

Parking

Take I-90 East to the Madison Street exit and make a right onto Madison Street. The building will be on your left.

 

 

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

 

 

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

 

 

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

The Bulls and Blackhawks operate the United Center through the United Center Joint Venture, a 50/50 partnership of the two teams. It covers 960,000 square feet and is located on a 46-acre parcel, west of the Chicago Loop. The arena is the largest in the United States in physical size, though not in capacity. Its exterior bears a striking resemblance to that of Chicago Stadium. It seats 19,717 (not including standing room) for hockey (highest attendance at a Blackhawks game was the clinching Game 6 of the 2015 Stanley Cup. The United Center hosts over 200 events per year and has drawn over 20 million visitors since its opening. It is known for routinely exceeding seating capacity for Bulls and Blackhawks games.Its building is 140 feet tall. Costing $175 million to build, the United Center mainly consists of concrete and 3,500 tons of steel. As of the 2009–10 renovation, the stadium has 169 executive suites on three levels.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west. 

 

Or if you do not mind walking some, take the train to Illinois Medical District station and walk .5 miles to the center. 

 

To the United Center: The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.
